About the Author I thoroughly enjoyed writing this novel along with the journey I was taken on while working on it. I'm currently working on the second book in the series which is set about five years on. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. New world to explore... By Cactus Wren Star's Awakening is a journey into a world of fantasy, but mixed with just enough humanity to add interest. I liked the descriptions and the building of both individual and group stories. This is a first novel that leaves us with a hint of the next story in this series. I found the big 'surprises' were not difficult to perceive before they happened. A twist or two (red herrings, so to speak) would have caused me to give it an even higher rating. I'm expecting more and even better from this author. It was an enjoyable, and easy, read.
