By Carolyn Woolston Have you ever asked yourself what you would do if your country were taken over by another power? This is an emotional-gripper of a book about a perfectly normal young woman on a peaceful Normandy farm and what happens when the Germans invade France in June 1940. The novel rings with historical accuracy and emotional insight, and it plumbs the depths of the question millions of people have asked throughout the centuries: What can one person do in the face of evil?Don't miss this novel! It's a keeper.

Lee Jack Ring did a good job writing this fictional history of times in France during WWII. The Heroine of his story, a 17 year old girl, joins the Resistance to aid Jews and help save her country. As you read the story you are not quite sure how the characters are going to react to the new situations so you are compelled to keep reading. One can't help but fall in love with Marquerite. She is a survivor and becomes a hero to all who are dealing with Nazi occupied France.

RED SKY IN THE MORNING is a great read that is the story of a courageous 17-year old French farm girl who got involved in World War II’s French Resistance by trying to save the life of a wounded man important to the Resistance. This required amazing courage due to her limited experience in training as a Veterinary Assistant.Marguerite starts out as a naïve teenager who endures the horrors of war by resisting Nazi torture and witnessing the murder of a family member. She utilizes stealth and deception tactics, which emulate a female version of James Bond. Her exploits are broad cast on the London radio, turning her into a legend that inspires others to persevere.
