Excellent sequel of a unique dystopian story By Sue I received a free copy of this book in return for an honest review. This book is the sequel to Exodia and we continue to follow the story of Dalton Battista who now goes by Bram O'Shea. Bram faces many challenges in this book, including love for another, testing of his faith, having to fight many battles, fending off plagues, and trying to lead a sometimes unruly mob of “reds” who are often hungry, thirsty and rebellious. Will Bram's followers stand by him through hard times or will they choose to go their own way? Will they ever find Ronel’s promised land? And who is the mysterious Ronel?Once again, Ms Chapoton has written a book with an intriguing storyline with a fresh concept that forces you to keep on reading to find out what is going to happen next, and the puzzling anagrams that were found in the first book Exodia are featured in this book as well. The hidden meanings to everyday words and phrases are very clever and well written into the story so that rather than be distracting, they actually are very enlightening. The continued use of a ledger quote at the beginning of each chapter hints at what is to come, and is unravelled as you read on.The book is well written and is quite descriptive with vivid imagery and the dialogue between the characters is real and believable. It was easy to connect with all the characters in the story and empathise with them when events occurred. After reading both books, my favourite characters were Bram, Lydia, Barrett and Raul.Like the first book, this one contains a mix of writing in the first person from Bram's point of view as well as the third person, from the points of view of other characters. Rather than be confusing, the addition of the extra pieces written in the third person provides more information as to what is happening around the main character and was easy to follow.I thoroughly enjoyed reading Out Of Exodia, just as much as Exodia, and both books are definitely compelling reading.I highly recommend both books as a “must read” and both of them are at the top of my “re-read” list. You are sure to enjoy these books if you like dystopia stories with a unique twist.

The Engrossing Dystopian Continues By Mallory Heart Reviews REVIEW: OUT OF EXODIA by Debra Chapoton[EXODIA LEDGERS #2]This engrossing saga breathlessly continues, as young Dalton Battista evolves into the promised, prophesied, Bram O'Shea (yes, an anagram), redeemer of society's downtrodden culture. Of course, nothing ever runs smoothly when evil is involved, and so there are untrustworthy colleagues as well as brutal opponents. This series is destined, in my opinion, for high popularity.I reviewed a digital ARC provided by the author for review, at no remuneration.
