About the Author Thomas Reeder grew up outside Philadelphia, addicted to late night B movies, "Shock Theater" and any silent film that would occasionally surface. A lifelong love of all things cinematic led to a BFA in Film at New York’s School of Visual Arts and an MA in Cinema Studies at New York University. Concurrent with this was an immersion in the written word from a disparate array of authors of mysteries that ran the gamut from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and S.S. Van Dine, to Mickey Spillane and Lawrence Block. Mr. Reeder’s biography of film producer Ben Pivar – "Stop Yellin’: Ben Pivar and the Horror, Mystery and Action Adventure Films of His Universal B Unit" – was published in 2011, and he has written numerous articles for film and genealogical periodicals. His biography of silent comedy pioneer Henry “Pathé” Lehrman is scheduled for publication in 2016. "Poetic Justice" is his first foray into fiction, inspired in part by his love for Long Beach Island, where he spends his summers. Mr. Reeder lives in Hopewell, New Jersey, with his family.

By Pocono Joe Purchased on July 1st, received on July3rd and what an education I'm getting! Things like who has intercourse through a hole in a bed sheet covering their partner and nymphomaniac Italian twins that love honey. I assume Tom Reeder only deals in facts!?!? How about hang them from a water tower and bring the children to watch! I'm only 100 pages into the book and I've already been informed of four names for an erection. It's a must read! There are only so many murder mystery plots (and I may be proved wrong on that score) but the authors writing style will sell books. Did I mention an in depth description of the wonderful Pork Roll sandwich?

The gritty detail in which Mr. Reeder provides for every person, home, sound, smell and feeling sets the mood for a wild ride through wealth, perversion, greed and dredges up the past that was thought to be long buried. A page turner worthy of your time if your sitting on the lovely beaches of LBI or just wish that you were.

Great writing and Thomas Reeder has done his homework not only to put us on our beloved LBI in the 1930's but also give us some of the same characters that we're sure we know today.
