Johnson (Cilla) Rating: 4.5In Divine Intervention, the seventh installment in Lutishia Lovely's Hallelujah series, readers find Princess Brook headed down the aisle to marry her longtime friend, Rafael Stevens. Rafael has been in love with Princess since grade school and he could not wait to have her as his wife. Yet, her mother, Tai, begins to question whether Princess is really ready for this next chapter in her life. Before the couple could say "I Do," all hell breaks loose - KP returns, someone asked Momma Max out on a date, King travels to Barbados without Tai and everyone is praying for Derrick and Vivian. Is it divine intervention or maybe just people finally coming to their senses?Whenever I read a book by Lutishia Lovely, I make sure there is nothing else going on to interrupt me. From the first opening chapter I knew that the good Lord had to do some serious divine intervention with all the drama that was destined to unfold. Things take a turn for the worse (or has it) when Princess wedding to her love Raphael is abruptly stopped by unforseen forces and things are put on hold, much to the pleasing of her ex Kelvin who intends on making his wrongs right. Concerned about her daughter love life, Tai tries to make sure her daughter keeps her mind focused on whom she feels is the right man, but soon realized her eyes need to stay on her own ministering husband, the eye roaming King. King is fighting his own temptations (and losing again) while trying to keep his mother, Mama Max from finally divorcing his father, The Reverend Doctor Pastor Bishop Overseer Mister Stanley Obadiah Meshach Brook Jr who soon realizes home is where his heart is. Mama Max is not hearing it, because it looks like she has gotta her groove back when a neighbor's son, Henry comes on the scene. Shocked at reaping what he has sowed, the "IthinkImessedupagoodthing" Rev O isn't giving up so easy, neither is his decades old mistress Doreatha. If life isn't throwing enough curves, on the other side of town, Vivian and Derrick Montgomery's family tackle a potential life threatening issue that inadvertently pull the two families together, but things don't stay so holy for long. Fiery flames start to fuel when the secrets of hidden lies are revealed, vengeance begins to pour in some hearts and forgiveness in others. When all is said and done, unless the good Lord does some divine intervention, a few people in the end will have hell to pay. I must say all the books I have read from the author are page turners, I'm amazed how she can take so many characters and draw out their personalities and blend their lives into one plot. As always when you get to the end you say, "No she didn't!" and as usual, Lutishia does it again. By Misscsolo Lutishia Lovely is back with the 7th book in the Hallelujah Love series and it is just as exciting as the others! Hold on to your seat and get ready for the ride!******************SPOILER ALERT*********************Princess Brook is ready to get to married to her life-long friend Rafael and go on with life as planned, but when her uncle Derrick Montgomery passes out at her wedding and is rushed to the hospital even the best laid plans gets sidetracked. Vivian Montgomery is blessed beyond favor with all of the love and support from family, friends and church members as she goes through this trial with Derrick trying to find out why he collapsed during Princess wedding but the one thing she knows for sure is that with God all things are possible and this event has transformed her family for the better. Kelvin Peterson, son of Derrick comes home to check on his father during his illness meets back up with Princess, his first love. Will things be different between Kelvin and Princess or have they moved on in their lives? Maxine Brooks, Mama Max to those who know and love her, has come to the conclusion that she is going to stop living a lie and finally go ahead with divorcing that skirt chasing husband of hers The Reverend Doctor Pastor Bishop Overseer Mister Stanley Obadiah Meshach Brook Jr. Doctor O has been coming back around more often, is it just for Mama Max food or is it more? Tia and King Brook are already dealing with enough on their plates, a thriving ministry, Princess and her marriage woes, Derrick's illness, Mama Max and Doctor O's issues and now they have yet another issue to add to the already overflowing smorgasbord. Their faith is strong but they are not sure how strong their backs are.Lutishia Lovely has taken us back to Kansas and sent us into a whirlwind again! I am just breathless! The characters are definitely a Lifetime movie because they keep you on the edge of your seats and talking to the book! She draws you into the story and keeps you there wanting to help out and praying right along with everyone in the story. I love this series and look forward to more, more, more! Great job, keep up the great work!!!!!!!!!
