There are not many books out there that tell this side of history, which is why this is such a rare treat. No propaganda, no fluffy bunnies, just good old storytelling. Highly recommended.

Many of the characters are taken from the pages of history - where they are often portrayed as demonic and one- dimensional. In this story, these same characters - like Goring and Himmler - are given motivation and depth that while not justifying their beliefs - at least allows for a plausible motivation for their often horrendous actions.
