About the Author Matthew James was born in West Palm Beach, Florida and was a movie lover-specifically adventure films-at an early age. Blood and Sand is full of adventure and action with just the right amount of humor. I look forward to reading other adventures from Matthew James.

White I can't believe this is a debut book for this author! Matthew Boyd has spun a well crafted tale of suspense, unusual plot perspective, and memorable characters. Hank is a bit of a bumbling archaeologist who is unsure of himself but is courageous and brave in the face of danger, with a wonderful sense of humor! When he follows his well respected Father (who is the real Archaeologist) to Algiers, to find the fabled city of Atlantis, they begin a journey that leads to the possible end of the world as we know it! The creatures are unique and deadly but "The End" is far more devastatingly dangerous! You will love this team of travelers and have a great adventure with them!

I read a lot of James Rollins, and similar authors, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely be adding Matthew James to my watch list. The characters in this book you really feel you get to know and connect with. No spoilers, I'll simply say if you like James Rollins, Douglas Preston and child, Greig beck, or similar authors, I think you'll like this book.
