An Excellent Read By Ms. Cathy Howat This book follows Tom Aharsker, son of WW1 pilot, and now senior RAF officer Ted Harsker, VC, MM, (The British Ace series, and an excellent read) AT University studying engineering just before war breaks out. Young Tom Harsker decides to enlist,but wanting to make his own way Choose the Army. After the debacle of the French campaign, he eventually winds up in the Commandos. The Commandos were the prototypical "special Forces" unit from which all other Special Forces world wide come. An excellent look at the only British ground force, that, prior to D-Day was able to engage the Germans in occupied Europe. The battle scenes and the retreat from France are very well handled. Griff Hosker just keeps on getting better and better. I cannot wait for the next in this series

Heart Series" and "Wolf Brethren Series" and I have enjoyed the twists and turns these characters have taken By Western Aztec I have read Griff Hosker's "Dragon Heart Series" and "Wolf Brethren Series" and I have enjoyed the twists and turns these characters have taken. I read "Commando" to give me a break from the Middle Ages. This book is absolutely fantastic. The character development and the storyline are fantastic. "Commando" is such an engaging book to read. I can't wait for this series to develop. I am looking forward to the next books in this series. I hope I don't have to wait too long.
